Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Academy by Nigel Quadros, we are committed to your satisfaction. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which you may request a refund or cancel your course enrollment. Please read this policy carefully before enrolling in any course.

1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for most courses. You may request a full refund within 7 days of enrollment if you meet the following conditions:

  • You have attended no more than 2 live sessions or watched less than 20% of course content
  • You have not downloaded more than 30% of course materials
  • You have not submitted assignments or completed assessments
  • You have not received a certificate of completion

The 7-day period begins from the date of enrollment or the first live session, whichever comes first.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Eligible for Full Refund

  • Course cancellation by the instructor or Academy
  • Technical issues preventing access for more than 48 hours (with proof of reporting)
  • Duplicate payment or billing errors
  • Course content significantly different from description (subject to review)

Eligible for Partial Refund

  • Course discontinuation mid-way (prorated based on completed sessions)
  • Medical emergencies with valid documentation (case-by-case basis)
  • Major platform outages affecting course delivery

3. Non-Refundable Items and Situations

The following are NOT eligible for refunds:

  • Courses purchased more than 7 days ago (unless meeting special circumstances)
  • Courses where more than 20% of content has been accessed or 2 sessions attended
  • Certification examination fees
  • One-on-one mentoring sessions already conducted
  • Career services (CV Rebrand, LinkedIn Optimization, Interview Prep) after service delivery begins
  • Monthly subscription fees after the billing cycle has started
  • Administrative or convenience fees
  • The 15% philanthropic contribution (automatically allocated upon enrollment)

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Academy by Nigel Quadros account
  2. Navigate to "My Courses" or "Purchases"
  3. Select the course you wish to request a refund for
  4. Click "Request Refund" and complete the refund request form
  5. Provide a detailed reason for your refund request
  6. Submit supporting documentation if applicable (technical issues, medical emergencies, etc.)

Alternatively, you can email care@nigelquadros.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line, including your order number and reason for refund.

5. Refund Processing Timeline

Once your refund request is submitted:

  • Review Period: 2-3 business days to review and approve/deny the request
  • Notification: You will receive an email confirming the decision
  • Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Credit to Account: Refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days (depending on your bank/payment provider)

Please note: Payment gateway charges (typically 2-3% of the transaction amount) are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.

6. Cancellation of Enrollment

Student-Initiated Cancellation

You may cancel your course enrollment at any time by following the refund request process. However, refund eligibility depends on the timing and usage conditions outlined in this policy.

Platform-Initiated Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel enrollments in cases of:

  • Payment failure or fraudulent transactions
  • Violation of Terms and Conditions or Code of Conduct
  • Course discontinuation or insufficient enrollment

In such cases, you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative course.

7. Course Access After Cancellation

Upon successful cancellation and refund approval:

  • Your access to course materials will be immediately revoked
  • You will no longer be able to attend live sessions or access recordings
  • All downloaded materials must be deleted from your devices
  • You will not receive a certificate of completion
  • Any earned certificates will be revoked

8. Course Rescheduling and Transfer

Transfer to Another Batch

If you are unable to attend your enrolled course dates, you may request a transfer to the next available batch:

  • One free batch transfer is allowed per enrollment
  • Transfer requests must be made at least 48 hours before the first session
  • Subject to availability in the next batch
  • Additional transfers may incur a rescheduling fee of ₹500

Pause or Break from Course

For self-paced courses, you may pause your learning at any time. For instructor-led courses, pauses are not permitted, but you may request a batch transfer.

9. Special Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations arise. In exceptional circumstances, we may offer special consideration for refunds or transfers:

Medical Emergencies

If you experience a medical emergency preventing course participation, please contact us with supporting medical documentation. We will review on a case-by-case basis and may offer a full refund, partial refund, or course transfer.

Family Emergencies

In cases of serious family emergencies (death, critical illness), we may offer exceptions to our standard refund policy. Please provide relevant documentation and contact our support team.

Natural Disasters and Force Majeure

If you are affected by natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events preventing course participation, we will work with you to find a suitable solution, including refunds or course transfers.

10. Dispute Resolution

If your refund request is denied and you disagree with the decision:

  • Contact our support team within 14 days of the decision
  • Provide additional information or documentation supporting your case
  • Request a review by a senior team member
  • We will respond with a final decision within 5 business days

11. Refund Methods

Refunds are processed using the following methods:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the original card used for payment
  • Net Banking: Refunded to the bank account linked to the transaction
  • UPI: Refunded to the UPI ID used for payment
  • Wallet: Refunded to the wallet account used for payment

We cannot process refunds to a different account or payment method than the one used for the original transaction.

12. Subscription Cancellations

If you have a monthly or annual subscription:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
  • No refunds are provided for the current billing period
  • You will continue to have access until the end of the paid period
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation

13. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Material changes will be communicated via email. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
